5-B Cluster Altitude

B Cluster Altitude

Overview of Rules:

The goal of B Cluster Altitude is to fly a model with 5 B motors as high as possible.

Design Considerations:

Your model must be stable, if your motors are in the rear of the model, it will likely be long, have large fins, have noseweight or some combination. If you mount motors ahead of the CG, this can help stability, but motor exhaust may destroy your model in unexpected ways. This is not a staging event, all motors must be ignited on the pad.

Tips for Beginners:

Practice your clustering. Build a sturdy model, but keep it clean. Much like normal altitude events, there is an optimum mass to consider.
