Rocketeer Log In/Out

NARAM-56 is over, final results here, more to come this week.

Prepare yourself for the funnest vacation you'll have in 2014. The event is called "NARAM," and you'll discover that it is seven full days in rocketry heaven. This spectacular prairie, nestled right up against 12,000 foot mountains, is where you get to launch your awesome rocket creations, or just sit back and enjoy the show put on by other modelers. There will be hundreds and hundreds of flights each day, ranging in size from little zoomers, to big behemoths that shake the ground when they thunder skyward.

This year, the 7-day festival will also incorporate United Launch Alliance's Student Intern launch. This is a special event, where the interns at ULA launch their big summer projects.

And when you're not out on the rocket range, you and your family can enjoy the affordably priced attractions that Southern Colorado has to offer. And being well off the typical tourist routes, you'll get to enjoy the scenery and exciting adventures in a relaxing mode that you will have you talking about it for years and years to come.

What is NARAM?

NARAM stands for "National Association of Rocketry Annual Meet." This is the 56th consecutive year of this event, that originally started out as a competition between rocketeers to test their building and flying skills. But over the years, it has grown to include so much more. The event is now so big, that there are two separate rocket ranges on the prairie to handle all the flights.

The competition range has been dwarfed by the Sport Range, where the big toys and research rockets are launched. The field has 7,000 acres

NARAM 56 will be held July 26 to August 1 2014 in Pueblo Colorado. The event will be graciously hosted by Southern Colorado Rocketeers at their Hudson Ranch site. The event will include the annual National Association of Rocketry Annual Meet, a sport flying range for model and high power rockets, an opportunity for Level 1, 2, and 3 HPR certifications, and many other events that will make this the rocketry event not to miss.
