07.26.2014 8:00 Time to Fly!

Rocketeer Log In/Out

Returns for the Contest will close 2 hours after the range closes Monday through Thursday (without delay, this should be 6 pm). Since the flyoffs (if they happen) do not require returns, that time will not be added to the 2 hour window. Weather delays do add to the window, so if the range closes at 5:00 after a 1 hour weather delay, regardless of any flyoffs, returns will close at 7 pm. Very few events require returns at this NARAM, but for those that do, this will be the window.

On Friday, returns (and judging) will close 1 hour after the contest range shuts down.

For 10.4 purposes, the designated contest officials will travel anywhere to verify an inaccessible model, but be warned that they you may have to wait until a contest official is free to do so. Marking your location with your GPS, etc. is recommended. You will have to guide the NARAM official to the location. Note that only B Streamer Duration, B Cluster Altitude and the Giant & Concept Sport Scale events may be 10.4 returned.

To make coordination of returning inaccessible models easier, the preferred form of contact is by Radio (channels announced at Contestant's Briefing) on the range or by SMS text message to this phone number: 215-280-9645. If your phone does not have text, a voice call is fine, but text is preferred as the initial time of the recovery can be recorded. So, if you find a model before the 2 hour window lapses, or find it inaccessible, please text this phone number so we can verify the model's position or that you recovered it later. Once the text is received, we can coordinate marking your model is returned at the field/hotel or send someone out (possibly the following day) to verify it under rule 10.4.

A final and perhaps better option is to tweet at the NARAM56 twitter account @NARAM56. This is publicly verifiable if you have a public twitter account, so you can always show the CD or Contest Jury that you really did find your model before the time limit occurs, as all tweets have a time associated with them. Follow @NARAM56 for additional information throughout the event!
