Tuesday August 2nd 2005 Ok Tonights auction to support the Bob Canon Memorial Fund was quite a success We collected $3637 ! only $800 short of the Record (not sure when that was) I have the ADUIO available as mp3 as usual. for those unfamiliar with this the VIDEO is 1.8gb thats nearly half a DVD even if I compressed this to BARELY watchable video it would far exceed 300mb I dont have the time or will to upload a 300mb file and I doubt many of you would want to download such a file especially at such horrendous quality :-) the audio however I can compress to 32kbit and it still sounds more than good enough. it brings it to probably around 30mb or so. its split into multiple files (each time I started and stopped the camcorder) Below are the pictures I took at the auction. Top left here - Bob Kaplow won this for over $300 ($330 IIRC) it is THE very first Model Rocket Kit WITH 3 of the originally INCLUDED Model Rocket Motors !! you are NOT gonna find one of these on ebay !
