Old Rocketeers Reunion
The last time there was an Old Rocketeers Reunion at NARAM was 10 years ago at NARAM-31 in Manassas, Virginia. What is an Old Rocketeers Reunion, you ask? It is the gathering of old time Rocketeers at a NARAM so they can reminisce about the early years of the hobby. ORR attendance is usually determined by a NAR number cutoff. At NARAM-41 however, everyone who attends is invited to participate in ORR activities. This will be the perfect opportunity for newcomers to the hobby to learn of the past history. But since this is an "Old Timer Reunion", NAR members in attendence with a number of 45,000 and under will be recognized and presented with an Old Rocketeers Reunion 1999 special patch that will accent the NARAM-41 patch. They also will get preferential seating at the show and tell.
Here are the planned activities surrounding the Old Rocketeers Reunion and an explanation of each.
    G. Harry Stine Launch
Build and fly (anytime during NARAM) a Model Rocket from plans that where designed by the founder of this great hobby in which we participate.
    Jim Z Plans Launch
Build and fly (anytime during NARAM) a Model Rocket from plans that you download from the Jim Z Website of Plans.
    Old Rocketeer's Show and Tell
On Saturday evening August 7, all attendees at NARAM-41 are asked to gather in the hotel ballroom for an evening of "Old Time" story telling. Those members with NAR number 45,000 or less are asked to bring along their old pictures, plans, kits, magazines, or anything to do with the hobby. These items will be laid out on tables for all to see. The 'Ole Timers' may also bring items that they wish to sell along with their memorabilia.

NAR President, Mark Bundick will moderate a panel discussion of notable Rocketeers, and conclude it with questions from the audience. Rocketeers will then receive their Old Rocketeers Reunion 1999 patch distinguishing them as 'Ole Timers' in the hobby. The evening will conclude with folks looking over all the artifacts brought in.
* There will be a box to check on the NARAM-41 Sport Range Flight card if a G. Harry Stine design or Jim Z clone model is flown.
